Structural Analysis of a PLC Controller based Industrial Application

The variety of contemporary industrial control systems challenges the idea of complexity. Principles of regulation extend over pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic means. The current study is an example of the fore mentioned. Despite the description of an already implemented system, provisioned to ensure effective control on the technological process for assembly of nipple-nut joints, a comprehensive structural analysis is included herein, based on the theory of logical gates. It serves the signaling mechanism of the system, regulated by a PLC controller and refers to its optional expansion in terms of more and adequate input/output signals.
