Design of Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) for Indoor Free-space Optical (FSO) Pointing System

In this paper, we propose a free space optical communication (FSO) pointing system based on arrayed waveguide grating (AWG), which mainly uses the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) function of the AWG. The demultiplexing of AWG is achieved based on different emission wavelength of the laser. By changing the direction of the laser through AWG at different wavelengths, the beam steering of the FSO system is achieved.
