iFURTHER Project - A Cognitive Network of HF Radars for Europe Defence

This paper presents the European project named iFURTHER that focuses on multi-site HF-OTH-R approaches. Facing the new military threats, the European Union seeks to develop disruptive defence systems that benefit from a new robust capability to complement existing surveillance systems. The iFURTHER project conceptualises the idea of a cognitive network of HF radars over Europe that provides the capabilities of large area surveillance and early warning to protect the EU.
