Performance Analysis of Single and Multi Pumps usage in Water Distribution System using Two Timer Relay and Differential Pressure Switch

Pumps are used to move the fluids such as Water, Oil, Slurry from one place to another place on Industrial and Home application. When it is Turn ON, it is provide constant pressure to send the fluids to another place. Constant pressure sometimes not required in different industrial application. For that pressure control mechanism is required in pipeline. A Special Pressure Control Equipment’s are required to meet the targets. For that we need to implement pressure control device in pipeline to control the pump. In this Case, Differential Pressure Switch used to control the pump based on Min and Max set point pressure assigned on the device. Pumps are started based on minimum set point pressure. Similarly pumps are stop based on maximum set point pressure. Due to this condition, Pump will ON or OFF be based on our usage of water i.e. Pressure drop on pipeline. These concepts will be used in process industry for continuous mixing of any raw materials with water. If we use single pump for this application, efficiency and life of the pump affected due to continuous ON or OFF, also motor coil dissipate much heat, and this will reduce the performance of pump. To reduce the load of single pump, we are implemented the concepts of Multi Pump which controlled by two Timer Relay and Differential Pressure Switch.
