Abstract:

Low-frequency loop antennas are important sensors for magnetic field radiation and immunity measurement in military standard tests. A loop antenna coefficient calibration method based on TEM cell is presented in this paper. The method adopts Gaussian process regression to correct the spatial wave impedance inside the TEM cell in the low-frequency. The TEM cell is used as a standard field strength generating device to calibrate the loop antenna coefficients when the operating frequency of the TEM cell is 10Hz~200kHz. The experimental results show that this method has good accuracy in the whole range of test frequency bands. It is an efficient and traceable method for calibrating the loop antenna coefficients.

I. Introduction

Electromagnetic radiation and sensitivity of military equipment are important factors affecting its practical use. The magnetic field is the main component of the electromagnetic wave affecting the equipment in the low-frequency band test, and the low-frequency loop antenna is the main equipment to transmit and receive the space magnetic field, which is often used in the electromagnetic emission and sensitivity test of military equipment and subsystems.
