An Experimental Analysis of the Effects of Ground Wires During Conducted Emission Current Probe Method Measurement

In this paper, the effects of ground wires and wiring harness arrangements during conducted emission current probe method measurements are experimentally analyzed. The analysis shows that RF signal transmission path in the measurements is significantly affected by the different wiring harness conditions such as ground wire routing position, wiring harness tightly / loosely bundled. Especially, in the low-frequency range below 20 MHz, whether the ground wires are included in the current probe has a significant impact on the measurement results.
