Analysis of Mainlobe Cancellation Technique Under Non-Ideal Conditions

Mainlobe cancellation technique can suppress mainlobe jamming while maintaining undistorted monopulse ratio for unbiased angle estimation. In this paper, quantitative analysis of mainlobe cancellation technique in the presence of amplitude-phase error is studied. By establishing the model of mainlobe cancellation for monopulse at subarray level, the concept of angular resolution of mainlobe cancellation is proposed and the impact of amplitude-phase error on the accuracy of angle estimation is analyzed. Numerical simulations have verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
