Measurement and Analysis of Influence of Different Stirrers on Performance of Reverberation Chamber

Various stirrers have been developed for reverberation chamber (RC) to meet kinds of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test and Over-The-Air (OTA) test. We designed 3 types of stirrer paddles for 4 same dimension RCs. Chamber validation with the same working volumes for the 4 RCs were performed. The field uniformity results presented that stirrers with rotationally symmetrical structures would decrease the performance of RC. Chamber decay times were also measured and compared.
