Abstract:

This study delves into the domain of FPGA-based electronic circuit design, concentrating on the interplay between sequential and combinational circuits utilizing D flip-flops. The investigation scrutinizes the execution, advantages, and real-world implications of such circuits, harnessing the capabilities of the Kintex FPGA family and the Genesys development board. Combinational circuits are probed as foundational components of digital logic, generating immediate outcomes exclusively predicated on current inputs. Sequential circuits, incorporating both temporal and memory characteristics, are probed to illustrate their potential for responding to historical and present inputs. D flip-flops assume a pivotal role in the operation of sequential circuits. Subsequently, these insights are applied within the context of the Kintex FPGA family and the Genesys board, revealing their potential for constructing sophisticated electronic systems. The study culminates in a comprehensive understanding of sequential and combinational circuits driven by FPGAs, illustrating their potential for designing and tailoring innovative concepts.
