Quasi-Force-Free Magnets of Small Volume for Generators of Short-Wave Microwave Radiation

Two types of gyrotron magnetic systems, flat busses with concentrator and balanced winding solenoid (quasi-force-free), are described. These low inductance indestructible magnets provide the generation of microsecond strong magnetic fields, more than 50T, with high efficiency capacitor energy transfer. The results of magnetic field and mechanical stress calculations are presented.
