Analysis of the Impact of Complex Terrain in Northwest China on the Lightning Risk of 750 kV Typical Transmission Lines

This article focuses on typical transmission lines in the northwest region, and improves and provides corresponding explanations from two aspects: parameter processing and extraction under complex terrain, and lightning risk assessment methods. Firstly, this article proposes a method for correcting the line to ground height parameter considering transmission line sag and obtaining the ground inclination parameter considering ground shielding effect, and combines DEM parameters to achieve micro terrain feature parameter extraction. Secondly, this paper establishes a lightning withstand level calculation model considering the influence of altitude, and optimizes the calculation efficiency of the electrical Geometric modeling method. On this basis, this article analyzes the actual situation of a typical 750kV transmission line in the northwest region and evaluates the impact of complex terrain on the risk of lightning damage.
