Analysis of Company’s Sustainable Development Based on Extended Cobb-Douglas Production Functions

Global environmental and social issues have led to a fundamental reevaluation of the activities of the global community, particularly in the field of economic and business activities. In this context, the paradigm of development, as endorsed by the United Nations, is the concept of sustainable development. The issue of ensuring sustainable development is especially relevant for industrial enterprises in the core sectors of the economy. Recognizing the high significance of achieving an optimal balance of environmental (E), social (S), and economic (G) development parameters, many companies implement extensive measures within the framework of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) principles. This study proposes a method for analyzing a company’s sustainable development using extended Cobb-Douglas production functions and presents the results of its application to the ESG indicators of Gazprom.
