Device for Early Pregnancy Diagnostics in Cattle

The results of studies on auscultation of the noise of blood vessels in cows are presented in the paper. The reason for the appearance of these noise is an increase in the blood supply to the reproductive organs during pregnancy. The design and principle of the device for auscultation is described. The method of computer analysis and interpretation of the results is described. The device is an electronic phonendoscope allows to detect acoustic fluctuations in the low intensity that occur in the animal’s body and record them for subsequent analysis and has accuracy of diagnosis in pregnancy cows with a period of 2 months is 94.4%.It was found that specific gestational age in cows correspond to specific changes in the noise of blood vessels. The most useful for diagnosis are noise peaks in the region of 200 Hz and 2000 Hz. Based on these results, a new way of early pregnancy diagnostics in cattle can be proposed.
