The Average Value of the Error of Setting the Angular Position of a Distributed Object when Modeling with a Matrix Simulator

The method for calculating the average value of the error of setting the angular position of the apparent center of radiation inherent in matrix simulators in the area outside the matrix when simulating radar reflections from objects distributed along the angular coordinate is considered in the paper. The influence of the position of the apparent radiation center, as well as the radiation pattern of the antenna and the matrix base on the error value is analyzed. The necessity of transition to alternative estimated error ratios is substantiated. Step-by-step simplifications of the expression for finding the error under consideration for the case of using a two-point matrix simulator are given. It is shown that the entire error detection area can be divided into smaller areas, each of which should use its own simplified expression. The results can be applied when performing statistical estimates of the accuracy of the matrix simulator outside the matrix area when simulating objects distributed along the angular coordinate.
