Stardist Segmentation to Determine the Printout Characteristics of Different Printers

The simplicity papers may be printed has increased illegal activities such as document forgery. Better ways to distinguish between fake and real documents are necessary to overcome this issue. This paper proposes a unique approach for reliably identifying printer sources. This study applied the Arabic letter from three different types of printers such as HP Laserjet P2010, HP LaserJet 2200dn, and LaserJet CP3525dn. The proposed method to identify the difference is by implementing Stardist technique. The result shows that each printer's threshold, probability, distance, and label image has a different pattern. From the result of mean and area in the image using Stardist can be seen that some printers as LJ-3525 have a lower value than others.
