Design of Three Phase Vienna Rectifier Based on PI Resonant Controller

This paper first analyzes the working principle of Vienna rectifier and establishes a mathematical model in dq coordinate system, then introduces the positive and negative sequence separation method based on dual-synchronous coordinate system decoupling (DDSRF) and the proportional integral resonance controller (PI Resonant). In the simulink model of positive sequence dq coordinate system, the positive and negative sequence current is adjusted steady-state without difference to suppress voltage fluctuation of DC bus and ensures stable operation. Then the simulation waveform and real experiment waveform of traditional double closed loop PI control and PI Resonant control are compared respectively. The results shows that compared with PI control, PI Resonant controller can control AC signal without steady state error. When the three-phase voltage is unbalanced, PI Resonant control can control the negative sequence current and adjust the positive and negative sequence current without difference in the positive sequence dq coordinate system to eliminate ripple power and reduce the DC bus voltage fluctuation caused by the out-of-control negative sequence current.
