A Novel Doubly-Fed Permanent Magnet Wind Generator for Fractional Frequency Transmission System

This paper proposes a novel PM generator for the Fractional Frequency Transmission System (FFTS), which consists of two sets of windings that generate 50Hz and 50/3Hz electrical energy, respectively. The topology, no-load performance, load performance, and torque adjustment performance of this novel machine have been mainly analyzed, and its system connection method applied in FFTS has also been introduced. The results show that the new topology is feasible, as it can provide high-quality power while reducing the cost of FFTS, which provides a reference for the construction of FFTS
