Design of Remote Sensing Camera Focusing Control System

In order to solve the problem of image quality degradation caused by focal plane defocusing during the launch process and in orbit operation of space camera, the focusing control system for remote sensing camera based on linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is designed. The control system consists of power conversion module, control module, drive module, position detection module, stepper motor and LVDT, which can realize closed-loop control with LVDT position as input and open-loop control with motor step number as input, and effectively improve the imaging quality of space camera. The experimental results show that the remote sensing camera focusing control system designed based on LVDT has the focusing range of -6 mm~+6 mm, the minimum focusing amount of 0.005 mm, and the focusing accuracy of no more than ±0.003 mm. The effectiveness of the focusing control system design has been verified, meeting the imaging quality requirements of space cameras.
