60 W average power in picosecond pulses from a passively mode-locked Yb:YAG thin-disk laser

Summary from only given. We have demonstrated that an average power as high as 60 W in picosecond pulses can be generated directly with a passively mode-locked thin-disk laser. Even further increased powers and decreased pulse durations appear to be possible in the near future.
