Sound Power Measurement for Underwater Moving Sound Source Based on Gate-Shaped Sensor Array

Aiming at the problem of measuring the radiated sound power for underwater moving sound sources, a measurement method for their radiated noise based on gate sensor array is proposed. The beam forming measurement method based on scaled sound intensity can effectively measure the radiated sound power of static sound sources. For the case of moving sound sources, combined with the time domain beam forming method, which is usually used to remove the Doppler effect, the beam output results are scaled and integrated on the established virtual source surface to obtain the radiated sound power of the moving sound source. The numerical simulation results show that this method can effectively measure the radiated sound power of the underwater moving sound source and greatly improve the measurement accuracy of the radiated sound power of an underwater vehicle.
