Research on Screening Replacement and Energy Harvesting Technology of Microbial Fuel Cells

A new control loop method was proposed to improve the detection range through dynamic adjustment to achieve the best power generation for the microbial fuel cell (MFC). A voltage comparator was used in the loop of MFC to solve the problem that the MFC battery is lower than 0.2 V not working properly, so the MFC screening and replacement system included a battery detection unit to realize the maintenance and management of the battery. In the experiment, it was found that in parallel connection, if the voltage was too low, the energy harvesting circuit did not operate wasting energy. The BQ25570 chip was suitable for weak current energy storage at low-power applications.
