An IoT Based Real-Time Monitoring System for Viticulture to Minimize Energy Consumption

While the practice of growing grapes for wine has been around for quite some time, recent developments in the IoT have helped vineyards become more efficient and create wines of a higher quality via the use of real-time data analysis and targeted suggestions. There are several obstacles in the wine business' path right now. Some of the world's most important wine-grape-growing regions are struggling to survive due to climate change and irrigation issues. Pests and crop diseases not only threaten food security, but also have a major monetary impact. In this study, we present a method for precision viticulture that makes use of Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets for continuous tracking. All of the system's parts have been carefully coded, and their connections are planned with efficiency in mind. In the field, wireless sensor nodes collect data on soil moisture and temperature and send it to a central station. A drone is dispatched to an area if the weather and other factors are favorable for the spread of a disease or pest. The drone will fly over the node, take images, and then fly back to the control center. Alarms, sensors, and actuators may all be easily integrated because to its modular architecture. In addition, it helps a variety of epidemiological models that are used to control the spread of illness.
