Examination of Electric Field Distribution Measured Under 24-Hour Load Cycle Condition

This paper investigates the electric field distribution in AC-XLPE cables under a 24-hour load cycle (LC), applied three times at 20 kV/mm, under both positive and negative polarities. Notably, the transient changes in electric field distribution from the 2nd LC onwards significant consistency. The study reveals complex interactions affecting space charge behavior, particularly under LCs, attributable to factors such as the volatilization of cross-linking byproducts. Given the developmental stage of measurement techniques, further exploration is necessary.
