Energy hub modeling and coupling matrix automatic generation method for integrated energy system

In Integrated Energy Systems (IES), electricity, gas, heat, and other types of energy are coupled with each other. This forms complex energy networks. A standardised Energy Hub (EH) model is the key to support the planning and operation research of IES. The coupling matrix is the core of EH modelling. The manual method of writing it in the past is not suitable for the increasingly complex IES in the future. Therefore, a method of using a computer to automatically generate the coupling matrix is urgently needed. This paper establishes a standardised EH model. On this basis, it proposes a method of automatically generating the coupling matrix by computer. This improves the computational analysis efficiency for the planning and operation of IES. First, it models the allocation, coupling and aggregation of different energies in IES. It proposes the concept of an energy flow diagram for IES. Based on the energy flow diagram, it proposes an intelligent method of generating the coupling matrix by computer. It generates the branch matrix and aggregation matrix by inputting matrices. Finally, it obtains the coupling matrix. It verifies the validity and feasibility of the model proposed in this paper through examples.
