Test case design and evaluation for ECU of smart connected vehicles with full-scenario security model

In recent years, the security issues of smart connected vehicles have attracted much attention. As the core component of the automotive electronic control system, whether Electronic Control Unit (ECU) can be tested correctly will directly affect the safety of smart connected vehicles. To improve the coverage and efficiency of ECU test cases for smart connected vehicles, this paper proposes a new automotive ECU testing model. Based on scenario testing and the three major safety aspects of automobiles, the model decomposes abstract functional testing scenarios into specific functional safety testing scenarios, expected functional safety testing scenarios, and information security testing scenarios, and then designs and evaluates test cases for each scenario. Through comparison, this model can comprehensively consider the actual working environment of the tested function and complete the testing of the ECU of smart connected vehicles more comprehensively, improving the testing efficiency.
