Some Peculiarities of the Lexicographic Description of Phytonyms

The article presents a comprehensive overview of the research conducted on phytonyms. By analyzing the lexicographic description of phytonyms in the Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language, the research uncovers the multifaceted attributes associated with various plant species. The article outlines the development of a linguistic database using MS Access DBMS, highlighting the structure of tables, relationships, and data input processes. This systematic approach allows for the efficient management and utilization of the collected information. The research contributes to the broader understanding of lexical semantics, lexicographic principles, and the practical application of information technology in linguistics.
