Research on Working Principle of Rotating Arc Stability Sensor and its Input and Output Mapping Relationship

Arc stability not only affects the working performance of rotating arc sensor but also affects the weld forming quality. In order to realize online detection of arc stability, first, the mechanism of arc stability on rotating arc sensing signal is revealed, and the working principle of rotating arc stability sensor is studied. Second, the working principle and mathematical model of the conversion circuit of the rotating arc stability sensor are studied. Third, the working principle and mathematical model of the output unit of the rotating arc stability sensor are studied. Then, the working principle of the conversion element of the rotating arc stability sensor is studied, and the relationship model between the arc length change coefficient and the arc length self-adjustability is established. Finally, the working principle of the sensitive element of the rotating arc stability sensor is studied, and the relationship model between the arc stability and the self-adjustability of the arc length is established. From the welding experimental results and analysis, it can be seen that the developed detection method of rotating arc stability can accurately and reliably detect the arc stability, which is helpful to improve the quality of intelligent welding of rotating arc sensing robot.
