Challenges and Suggestions for Building a High Resilience Green Power Grid in Northwest China under the Background of “Dual Carbon”

The characteristics and measures of the high resilience transmission end power grid under the background of building a new power system in the northwest region. As an important energy base in China, the northwest occupies an important position in China’s energy security strategy. Against the backdrop of actively promoting the “dual carbon” and green and clean energy transformation nationwide, as an important clean energy base in China, the role of the Northwest region is becoming increasingly prominent. But at the same time, with the increasing proportion of new energy installed capacity, the security risk of power grid and the pressure on the security and supply of power energy are increasing. It is necessary to think about how to ensure the safe and stable operation of power grid under the ultra-high proportion from the Systems thinking and overall perspective. In response to this background, this article first summarizes the achievements of new energy development in China and the northwest region, analyzes the challenges faced, proposes the concept of building a high resilience transmission end power grid to promote the construction of a high proportion of new energy power grids in the northwest, and proposes corresponding opinions and measures.
