A Review of Wind Farm Wake Characteristics under Complex Terrain Conditions

With the gradual deterioration of the global environment and climate and the gradual depletion of fossil fuels, it is particularly important to transform the energy utilization system from fossil energy to sustainable renewable energy. As one of the most promising renewable energy sources, wind energy utilization is expected to grow substantially in the next few decades and play a key role in mitigating climate change and achieving energy sustainability. The study of wake characteristics of wind farms plays an important role in maximizing wind energy utilization efficiency and optimizing wind farm layout. Nowadays, more and more wind farms are located on complex terrain, so the research on the influence of complex terrain on the power generation efficiency of wind farms is particularly important. This paper briefly introduces the research status of wake characteristics of wind farms under complex terrain, which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent research on wake characteristics of wind farms under complex terrain.
