Dimension Weight Scanning Module Based on ESP32 for Warehouse Management System

The paper is devoted to development of an adjustment model of a dimension-weight scanning module for warehouse management system. Its main purpose is to test and debug a warehouse management system and its modules without purchasing an expensive industrial model. The main advantage of the development of the proposed device is to reduce the module cost, while maintaining the functionality. To obtain data about a stock-keeping unit a periphery such as laser-ranging and load cell sensors are used. It is also necessary to identify items by QR or barcode, which will be carried out using the camera module and computer vision algorithms. Finally, the data is sent to the WMS server via Wi- Fi. The methods and techniques to increase system performance and extension of a dimension-weight scanning module functionality have been proposed.
