Deflections in RC Beams. Comparison of Experimental and Calculated According Eurocode 2 Results at Different Loads

In this article the results for deflections, obtained by experimental studies and those calculated according Eurocode 2, under static loading of 12 reinforced concrete (RC) beams subjected to four-point bending test were analyzed. The beams differ in the provided longitudinal reinforcement, concrete cover and reinforcement ratio. Experimentally, with inductive displacement transducers, the vertical displacements of the beams at three characteristic points at different load levels were determined. The experimental cracking moments were determined for each of the members. The deflections and cracking moments were calculated according Eurocode 2 and the obtained results were compared with the experimentally determined.
