Electrostatic adhesion technology based on a folded paper

In recent years, reducing post-harvest losses has been a global issue. Especially, damage during transportation of greengrocery leads to a decrease in quality. This paper proposes a novel origami packaging device with an electrostatic adhesive function within a functional origami structure with cushioning characteristics. Adding the fixation function of electrostatic adhesion to the origami structure with cushioning characteristics prevents physical damage to products caused by shocks and vibrations during transportation. As a result, it contributes to the reduction of post-harvest losses. In this paper, we evaluate the adhesive force when varying the electrode parameters to maximize the electrostatic adhesive force to be incorporated into the origami packaging structure.
