Voltage regulation in electrical networks using booster transformers with thyristor control

In the work, an equivalent circuit and mathematical models of a booster transformer were developed, considering the features of the connection diagram and the method of voltage regulation. Processes in the transformer are investigated and a method of voltage regulation is proposed, which excludes surges of the magnetizing current. The energy characteristics of the transformer are estimated and the region of its non-distorting operation is established.
