Mobile power supply system of electromagnet for gamma-ray generator based on cyclic accelerator

The authors describe a mobile power supply system of electromagnet for gamma-ray generator based on a cyclic accelerator. The power supply system is used for producing a unipolar current pulse with the amplitude of 110 kA and the length of 1 ms in the electromagnet windings. The time spread of the system triggering is less than 50 ns. The system contains a high-voltage charger, a bank of eight capacitors with a total capacitance of 2.4 mF, a switching unit, controls and synchronization elements. The electric circuit diagram, the construction and oscilloscope patterns from control sensors of system parameters are provided. The system is a part of the mobile radiographic complex and is aimed to radiograph dynamic objects with the large optical thickness.
