A Low-Profile Slot-Coupled Antenna based on Multilayer PCB in Ku band

This paper presents a broadband low profile microstrip antenna based on multi-layer PCB technology. By introducing H-shaped coupling slot structure into the multi-layer structure, the working bandwidth of the antenna is expanded and the radiation efficiency is improved. The mesured results shows that the antenna profile height is less than 2.5mm, the VSWR ＜2 in the frequency band of 13.1~16.3 GHz, the relative bandwidth is more than 21%, performance of the antenna meets requirements of wide-angle scanning phased array and has great potential in application.
