A Broadband Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna with Filtering Function

In this paper, a dielectric resonator antenna with filtering function is proposed. It obtains good filtering performance by etching groove structure on the ground and metal patch on the basis of typical cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna. Compared with other filter antennas, the structure of the antenna is simple, and no additional filter circuit is added, which reduces the difficulty of antenna design. At the same time, the antenna obtains a relatively wide frequency band range (27.45-42.42GHz), and the impedance bandwidth reaches 42.9%, covering the n257 and n260 bands of FR2, which is in line with the application of 5G millimeter wave.
