A circularly polarized microstrip phased array antenna for 5G communication

A circularly polarized microstrip phased array is proposed for 5G communication. The infinite array simulation of phased array antenna units with ±45° beam scanning can be achieved in two main planes, and a reflection coefficient of -10dB can be achieved throughout the entire 3.4-3.7GHz frequency band. Simulated 5×5 microstrip antenna array results show that in the 3.4-3.7GHz band, the axial ratio within the main beam scanning coverage is less than 3dB, and the gain changes smoothly within the scanning range, which can achieve good circular polarization scanning characteristics in a wide angle range.
