Data Analytics and Prediction of Long COVID Cases with Fuzzy Logic

Data about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been collected since the beginning of the public health emergency a few years ago. Investigation of the post-COVID-19 condition (or long COVID) began recently, and related data are being constantly collected and analyzed. In this paper, we present a data analytics and prediction solution, which incorporates fuzzy logic in discovery of interesting associations in long COVID demographic data and grouping of common symptoms. Using this information, we design a solution that aims to predict the development of long COVID in patients. Our solution shows promise in identifying individuals at risk of developing long COVID and highlights demographic information that could indicate an increased risk of developing long COVID. Evaluation results show the practicality of our solution in analyzing and predicting long COVID cases.
