The Sovereign Credit Default Swap (CDS) variability and the Economic context vulnerability: the case of North Africa and MENA region

with the huge growth in sovereign default risk many countries, an increasing investigation exploring sovereign risk determinants.Two major literature directions will be examined in this paper:- Providing an overview of sovereign risk and sovereign credit default swap (CDS) as a risk measure and rating substitute.- Analyzing country-specific factors and global variables that affect sovereign risk,The study used panel regression to analyze eleven Mena and North Africa countries from Q1 2006 to Q4 2020.
