Structured illumination super-resolution ultrasound imaging based on linear array

The ultrasound field design has great potential as an encoder of super-resolution method, as the structured ultrasound field has been proposed in recent years. However, only convex array probes are used in acoustic structured illumination currently, and the sound field designed is inconsistent with the commonly used structured illumination light of moire fringe stripes. In this work, we propose a generation method for structured ultrasound field based on linear array probe. We improve the Gerchberg-saxton algorithm with constrained optimization based on matching degree and smoothness and provide a new reconstruction strategy with weights defined according to sound field intensity. The super-resolution images were reconstructed through phase shift process and decoding gratings. Furthermore, we verify the effectiveness of sound field design and super-resolution in subsequent experiments. The results demonstrate the proposed acoustical structured illumination design method based on linear array provides a novel strategy for ultrasound super-resolution.
