Traffic Safety Enforcement and Document Verification System

With the continued evolvement of lifestyle, vehicles have become an important part of human lives. As a result, the number of vehicles that take to the road are increasing at an alarming level. This has in turn, led to a huge increase in traffic congestions. This poses a major challenge to the policing of vehicular movement, where the traffic policemen would find it extremely difficult to manually verify the hard copies of all mandatory documents, when required and to enforce traffic safety norms like wearing the seat belt. To tackle this issue, the following system is proposed through which, the law enforcement authorities would be able to efficiently verify the vehicle documents within a short span of time, without requiring the deriver to pull-over. Along with this, the system is also capable of monitoring and updating the seat belt status of the vehicle occupants in a real-time database, which can be accessed by the law enforcement authorities. The proposed system would be of immense help in reducing the time and effort taken for policing the large flow of vehicles in a real-world scenario.
