Improved Performance of Punching Machine Using Servo Motor Feeder Mechanism

The basic and important part of motor manufacturing is stamping. This article highlights innovative method in stamping process using Servo Feeder system with the help of Siemens programmable logic controller (PLC) and Human to Machine Interface (HMI). The Servo drives used in this proposed system increases productivity by increasing Strokes per minutes (SPM) and its quality, minimizes maintenance cost and eliminates human errors. Fully-programmable feed & release settings of Servo is user friendly which reduces setting time as well. Most importantly, the novel servo Feeder is an innovative improvement in the machine which controls the process with cost effectiveness.
