Effect of Anion Hydration Lubrication at Negatively Charged Interface

Numerous experiments and simulations have supported the impact of cations’ ability to hydrate on super-lubrication. The hydrated lubricating ability of anions is gradually attracting attention. Some scholars found that the anionic hydration layer near oppositely charged interface became less effective in lubrication as the concentration increased, inspiring us to start exploring the lubricating effect of the hydration ability of anions at the interface with similar charges. The findings demonstrate that anion hydration also contributes to the decrease in friction, and the impact of hydration lubrication is not positively correlated with salt solution concentration. The results of this experiment have a certain reference value for drag reduction and lubrication of fluid transport at micro and nano scale.
