Geolocation and Virtual Reality to Streamline the Management of Hydrographic Basins of the Regional Agriculture Management of La Libertad - Peru

The present study was developed with the main objective of streamlining watershed management at the Regional Agriculture Management of La Libertad through the implementation of a geolocation and virtual reality system. The research design was pre-experimental, consisting of a pretest and a posttest stage. The development and implementation of the software project, presented as a solution in this research, used the SCRUM methodology aligned with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework, which includes the phases of initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure. For the development, the Laravel framework was used, primarily for constructing the backend. A MySQL database was employed for data storage and the creation of the API, which is consumed by the frontend application developed using the Angular framework. The progressive web application served as the platform for the mobile application. In terms of the virtual reality application, the Unity game engine was utilized. The obtained results confirmed that the geolocation and virtual reality system streamline the management of watersheds at the Regional Agriculture Management of La Libertad.
