Managing the Highly Automated Vehicles Life Cycle for Providing Safety

This article presents approaches to managing highly automated vehicles' life cycle in consideration of providing safety. The authors introduce the system engineering method for developing safe systems and provide an example for how it may be applied in the corresponding field. The capabilities for instrumentalization of the suggested method with goal to automate operation on safe system life cycle stages are examined.
