Approach to Designing a Construction of Typical Main Landing Gear Brackets of an Aircraft

The design of the main landing gears meets the requirements of the Federal aviation regulations. One of the requirements is to prevent the transfer of dangerous loads during emergency landing. To do this, weak links are used in the landing gear design. The calculation of the weak link’s strength can be considered to be a static task as well as a dynamic one.
