Inegrated IoT Enabled Fog-Based Hand Wash System for Effective Sanitization

To prevent the spread of germs during the COVID-19 pandemic, WHO suggested that one should wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Hand washing has always been one of the most effective ways of keeping diseases at bay. It is a simple act pays in dividends when it comes to keeping ourselves healthy and safe. Hand washing is also one of the key cornerstones of COVID-19 prevention. It is not affordable to waste such huge amount of water. To save the amount of water which get wasted in hand washing. An alternative technique of cleaning the hands with fog is proposed in this project. In the proposal, an automated system integrated with ATmega328 micro controller as a processor and fog maker module to generate fog from water is illustrated. To make the operation touch free, IR sensor is used to detect hands. So that when the user inserts hands inside machine, IR sensor gives signal to micro controller and it turn on the fog maker module. To prevent the fog maker modules from dry run, low liquid level alert is provided in the system.
