Simultaneously Measurement of Refractive Index and Strain by Using Polished Hollow-Core Fiber

We present a compact open-cavity fiber Fabry-Pérot interferometer sensor by splicing a polished hollow-core fiber between two commercial single-mode fibers. The open cavity length is only 52μm, and we can successfully construct a sensitivity coefficient matrix for simultaneously refractive index and strain sensing.
