A Low-Complexity Method for Processing EIS Data of R-RC Circuit and Parameter Identification

This paper presents a method for analyzing impedance of various electrochemical sources, or electrode-electrolyte interface, with the aim of estimating the values of the equivalent R-RC circuit parameters. The proposed method utilizes characteristic frequency, resistance at the characteristic frequency, and reactance at the characteristic frequency for parameter estimation. It eliminates the need for specialized software, initial values, and computationally intensive processes. Initial verification, performed using the synthetic impedance datasets, showed that the proposed method can provide reliable estimations. Moreover, positive results in terms of reducing the impact of noise levels on the accuracy of model parameters estimation are obtained using the exponential filter.
