Impedance Z-Source Inverter with Multifunctional Integrated LC Electromagnetic Component: Computer Simulation

This paper discusses the operation of a Z-source inverter, which is an autonomous voltage inverter connected with an impedance circuit or Z-link. The paper proposes to study a multifunctional integrated electromagnetic LC-component as a Z-impedance circuit. The integrated LC-component has a simple design and promises lower weight and dimensions, since it basically consists of two flat conductors separated by a dielectric and wounded into a spiral. The Z-inverter principle of operation is considered, and its computer simulation is carried out using an equivalent circuit for the integrated LC-component. Simulation results show the possibility of using integrated LC-components for DC-AC converters.
